Post-16 Results Day Press Release

Yr 13 Exam Results and Performance

All of the staff at Woodcote High School are exceptionally proud of the Year 13 cohort and the result they have achieved. Throughout their Woodcote Sixth Form journey, they have worked incredibly hard, being both committed and conscientious in their studies. They have demonstrated resilience and determination beyond their years in dealing with the exceptional circumstances they have faced over the last few years, and their results are full credit to this commitment.

While the results are pleasing in themselves, more importantly they permit these young people to gain entry to their chosen pathways on the next stage of their education.  Once again, our young people have gained access to a wide range of courses with many attaining much sought-after places at the U.K.’s leading Russell group universities, including University of Bath, Kings College London and Loughborough University to name but a few.

The achievements of individual students tell their own unique story and journey, but we are delighted to mention the following students:

Jacob A*,A*,A, A                              Ben A*, A*, A                     Megha A, A, Distinction

Lana A*, A*, A, A                              Annabelle A*, A*, A

Results day is not simply about obtaining university places, as for many students it is the recognition of having completed academically rigorous qualifications on a seven-year journey at Woodcote High School.  It is a right-of-passage as they chose their post 18 pathways. For some students, it is the beginning of a new adventure as they travel the world on a gap year or use these results as the steppingstone into the world of work.

We at Woodcote Sixth Form would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all our amazing young people on their achievements; thank their parents for the considerable part they have played in supporting such success and thank the school’s teaching and support staff, who have worked so hard with these students for up to seven years.

The GCSE results are released on Thursday 25th August and we are looking forward to enrolling our new cohort of students into Woodcote Sixth Form.
